4.54.2 Minimum Fuel Reserve Required for a Day VFR Flight.

1. Aeroplane
  • Aeroplane - enough fuel to fly to
  • the point of intended landing
  • plus at least a further 30 minutes.
2. Helicopter
  • Helicopter - enough fuel to fly to
  • the point of intended landing
  • plus at least a further 20 minutes
  •  For flights of less than 20 minutes,
  • a further period equal to the anticipated flight time.
